Air Arctic and Air North Pole announce historic merger agreement |

IGLOO CITY, NORTH POLE. August 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Alistair Smith, President of Air Arctic Ltd., and Henry Johnson, President and CEO of Air North Pole Inc, announced today the historic merger of their two airlines, to create a brand new airline which will continue their long tradition and successful history of serving their customers and stakeholders in a rewarding and timely manner. The newly-formed company, henceforth to be known as Air Santa Claus Inc., will be headed by the renowned entrepreneur Arthur "Santa" Claus. Claus and his partners successfully negotiated a strategic financial package from NPBG (North Pole Banking Group) and Boxing Day Investments Partners Limited. Northern Financial Advisors acted as lead underwriters and will continue in the role of primary financial partners. Mr. Smith and Mr. Johnson will serve as advisors to Mr. Claus during the next ninety days, after which they will begin well-deserved retirements. They will have each completed more than forty years in the airline industry, and their employees, management, and shareholders thank them for the valuable contributions they have each made to their companies and communities. A new Board of Directors has been elected, comprising members from a cross-section of the United States and Canadian business, entertainment, sports, and political communities. The twelve-member board is comprised of investment guru Warren Buffett, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, former president Bill Clinton, sports legend Wayne Gretzky, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, pop music icon Taylor Swift, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, Academy-Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, Facebook founder and philanthropist Mark Zuckerberg, television personality Oprah Winfrey, as well as founder Arthur "Santa" Claus and his wife Clara Claus. The newly-formed enterprise will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "CLAUS" once the company has passed all regulatory controls and filings have been completed. The new Air Santa Claus Inc will have more than one hundred employees, each dedicated to serving their young customers with attention to detail, quality service, expertise, and timely advice. They are proud to help their young customers, and look forward to serving them, especially on the most important day of the year - Christmas Eve, for many more years. The company will continue to be based at Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer International Airport on the outskirts of Igloo City, the capital city of the North Pole, and will operate more than a dozen flights each week. As part of its community outreach program and Community Relations department, the airline will transport without charge medically-challenged children to various points of interest across North America each year. The company will also institute a new fund-raising program whereby individuals and business interests will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for flights on well-known routes, such as Washington, DC. - Igloo City, New York City-Igloo City, and Los Angeles-Igloo City.
